Michigan Strawberries

June is strawberry month here in Michigan and to many of us it's our favorite time of year. Like no other fruit grown in Michigan, strawberries is the one we wait so patiently for during the long winters. To all of our pleasure, Allen Grossnickle has reserved over 1000 flats of strawberries per week during the growing season for hungry Locavores! The Grossnickle Farm in Bear Lake is one of the regions largest strawberry growers, and they produce some of the finest quality strawberries to be found anywhere.

Estimated starting date this year for strawberries is between June 10th and June 15th.
