Blueberries
Start this week in big volume. Michigan growers produce the most blueberries in the nation with over 17,000 acres in a five county region in the southwest corner of the state. The early Jersey varieties start this week, which are known to be the sweetest and largest variety grown. The nutritional value of blueberries have been well documented for their anti-aging and antioxidant qualities.

UW Provision of Madison and Locavore Food Distributors have formed a strategic alliance to bring the best of Wisconsin dairy products to Michigan. Wisconsin cheese and dairy producers make some of the finest quality products in the world and we're proud to represent these items to our customers here in Michigan and elsewhere. While Wisconsin dairy and meat products will now be available throughout Michigan, Michigan fruit and vegetable items will now be available to UW Provision's customer base in Wisconsin, Chicago and elsewhere. This alliance will expand the presence of both states' agriculture products and make them available to a much broader geographical range.
